US Confidence Index Rises Most Since 2005 ....

The Swine Flu may have punctured the upward trend of the world market and hence a start of a major correction. However, having said that, the situation need to be closely watch if it can be contained in a shortest time frame. The past experienced by major asia countries may help to speedily contain this outbreak.

Bird Flu (2003-2005)and the SARS (2002-2003) outbreak

The Bird Flu outbreak began in April 2003 in the Netherlands and begin spreading fast to
Asia by mid 2003. The spread of the bird flu reached critical mass in 2004-2005 where it
spread to mainland China where 6,300 wild birds died in April 2005 within weeks. The SARS
outbreak begin in 2002 in Guandong, China with its last case reported in 2003.
